The RMH 1D cable granulation system grinds cables of various sizes (such as household cables, installation cables, and industrial cables) and then separates the metal and plastic fractions on the dry separation table.
When the cables are ground in the cutting mill, the material is broken down between the blades of a high-speed rotor and the blades of a stationary stator. In the process, the cable is simultaneously shredded and the plastic coating or plastic sheath is stripped off.
During separation on the dry separation table, the ground copper-plastic mixture is evenly fed onto the inclined working screen. The vibration of the working screen and the uniform airflow cause the mixture to flow. The heavier particles (copper) sink to the bottom of the screen, while the lighter particles (plastic) float. The heavier particles (copper) are then slowly conveyed upwards by the working screen's movement into the collection container/conveyor belt for metal (copper). The lighter particles (plastic) float slowly downwards and fall out of the rear of the separation table.
