The RMH MD cable granulating system grinds cables with different dimensions (for example, household cables, installation cables, industrial cables) and then separates the metal and plastic fraction on the dry separation table.
During the grinding of cables in the cutting mill, the material is broken down between the blades of a high-speed rotor and the blades of a stationary stator. Simultaneously, the cable is shredded and the plastic coating or sheathing is peeled off. During separation on the dry separating table, the ground copper-plastic mixture is evenly fed onto the inclined working screen. The vibration of the working screen and the uniform airflow cause the mixture to flow. The heavier particles (copper) sink to the screen, while the lighter particles (plastic) float. The heavier particles (copper) are slowly conveyed upwards by the working screen's movement into the collection container/conveyor belt for metal (copper). The lighter particles (plastic) float slowly downwards and fall out of the separating table at the rear.
